Nystagmus

Definition

Rhythmic, oscillating motions of the eyes are called nystagmus. The to-and-fro motion is generally involuntary. Vertical nystagmus occurs much less frequently than horizontal nystagmus and is often, but not necessarily, a sign of serious brain damage. Nystagmus can be a normal physiological response or a result of a pathologic problem.

Venturing

Tonight`s the night
When all is quiet
I will rise and go
No pacing to and fro

I will leave my home
I`ll leave my hearth
To wander where
My fancy goes
To places where no one knows
None except for me.
I will walk where geysers spout
and earthquakes thunder
And rend asunder
The giant rocks of time.

It is there I shall find
The fatal lure of distant things
The thrill of of what
The unknown brings
And I shall think of you.
