Nystagmus

Definition

Rhythmic, oscillating motions of the eyes are called nystagmus. The to-and-fro motion is generally involuntary. Vertical nystagmus occurs much less frequently than horizontal nystagmus and is often, but not necessarily, a sign of serious brain damage. Nystagmus can be a normal physiological response or a result of a pathologic problem.

Intrusions

That darn phone! Always rings when I want peace and quiet. How does it know? It is in cahoots with everyone who is determined to prevent me from being the recluse that I really am.It is in silence that I hear most.It is in silence that I think. It is in silence that my spirit roams the universe. It is in silence that I dream.

दिन बीते
'umre daraz se maang ke laaye thhe char din, Doh aarzoo mein kat gaye, do intezar mein...'
translated
'From the shelves of time did I borrow four glorious days, but,
Two were squandered in wishful thinking and two were lost in waiting..'

Quote from Bahadur Shah Zafar, the Last Mughal Emperor, written in exile from Burma.

This particular one, set in tranquil gardens, had a little museum at the back. When I saw this old bureau, I immediately thought of this 'kalam' or verse by Bahadur Shah Zafar
