Over my head
Rained a shower of flowers
The curtains parted
My eyes opened
The scent was like a pine forest
Sharp and clean
Astringent.
The wood moss laid out a carpet
Below the Spider's perfect web
Glistening with dew drops
That have not yielded their lives
To sun's warmth.
I remember only too well
When anguish first drove me here
And bid me to be her captive
But I would not then.
But now will you find me here
Seeking hearts ease
In Nature's wide open arms
Escaping from myself.
Rained a shower of flowers
The curtains parted
My eyes opened
The scent was like a pine forest
Sharp and clean
Astringent.
The wood moss laid out a carpet
Below the Spider's perfect web
Glistening with dew drops
That have not yielded their lives
To sun's warmth.
I remember only too well
When anguish first drove me here
And bid me to be her captive
But I would not then.
But now will you find me here
Seeking hearts ease
In Nature's wide open arms
Escaping from myself.
