Nystagmus

Definition

Rhythmic, oscillating motions of the eyes are called nystagmus. The to-and-fro motion is generally involuntary. Vertical nystagmus occurs much less frequently than horizontal nystagmus and is often, but not necessarily, a sign of serious brain damage. Nystagmus can be a normal physiological response or a result of a pathologic problem.

The crazy wind

Where does my heart race to?
Listen! Do you hear the crazy wind?
Rising, ever rising..
Through the trees
Around my shoulders
Up from the ocean
Across from the river
Sweeping through the valleys
Over the desolate wastelands
The crazy wind
It takes me there..

Rabindranath Tagore heard it too
And this is what he thought - as sung by Srikanto Acharya
